Police search for suspect, vehicle abandoned in Muse Park

UPDATE (4:15 p.m.) — According to Jackson Police, two people have been arrested in connection to the incident. 


JACKSON, Tenn. — DEVELOPING: An active search for a suspect was underway Wednesday afternoon near Muse Park in Jackson.

Shortly after 3 p.m., our news team was alerted to a police presence and abandoned vehicle in Muse Park.

Our crew arrived to find several Jackson Police officers present in the area.

Officers were also seen further down on Muse Street, near WBBJ’s main entrance, searching the area as a helicopter circled overhead.

According to Jackson Police, a male with active warrants fled from a traffic stop, leading to the search. No further details have been confirmed.
