MVP of The Week Levi Wilkinson
MVP of The Week Levi Wilkinson
Let’s kick things off with our MVP of the week and for that we have to go to
big red country because it will be Levi Wilkinson. The Lexington sophomore plays
linebacker and running back. This past Friday night against the Riverside Panthers
he stepped into the starting running back role with 13 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown.
On defense he recorded 7 total tackles, five solo, 1 assisted
and 1 tackle for loss. Although he is an underclassmen
his skills bring a veteran presence being that you can plug
and play him and he immediately has an impact. Levi is a player
that doesn’t force it. He lets the game come to him and seems to always
be in the right place at the right time. We were able to catch up with him
at practice and he talked with us about the reason for his performance,
his mindset when running the ball and what he wants the team to accomplish.
Take a listen.
then defense you know DB’S making big plays on fourth down D line just getting a good push up front It just helped me out alot. I just try to play as physical as i can always fall forward you know
get as many yards as i can. You know make a deep playoff run and i just push my team best i can
give it all.”
