Friendship Baptist Church of Medina celebrates a milestone anniversary

MEDINA, Tenn.—One area church reflects on 150 years of serving the Lord and its local community.

Friendship Baptist Church located at 817 Barnes Road in Medina celebrated with a special event Sunday.

The congregation was invited to dress in historic 1800s attire for the anniversary service.

There was a special message from Brother George McMinn and church members could also enjoy worship music.

Following the service, some members gathered to play some historical games, and enjoy food and fellowship with others.

Friendship Baptist Church originated in 1874 where services were first held in a school house until the official church building was constructed in 1875.

The church continues to remain an important part of the local community in Medina.
