One dead, multiple others injured following a shooting in Union City

UNION CITY, Tenn.—One dead, multiple others with injuries following an early morning shooting at Volume Lounge in Union City.

The Union City Police Department has issued the following statement regarding that incident.

*** For Immediate Release ***

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, officers with the Union City Police Department along with Obion County Sheriff’s Deputies were present outside of the Volume Lounge located at 202 Railroad Street. At approximately 12:34 AM multiple gunshots were heard coming from inside the building. Upon entering the Volume Lounge, officers located multiple individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene to begin transport of those individuals to the Union City Baptist Memorial Hospital. Upon arrival, 23 year old Omariyon Harper of Union City, Tn was pronounced deceased from gunshot wounds. At this time, a person of interest has been identified and efforts are currently underway to locate and interview the individual concerning the shooting incident.

Investigators were called to the location and have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Please keep in mind that the information released is preliminary in nature and could change as the investigation progresses or new information comes to light.
