JPD confirms arrest of officer in Lexington

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Booking information shows that Officer Troutt, 36, was booked into the Henderson County jail at 10:54 p.m. on November 21, before later being released on bond around 11:20 a.m. the next day. [Jackson, TN] – The Jackson Police Department has been made aware of the arrest of Officer Terry Troutt by the Lexington Police Department on the night of November 21, 2025. Terry Troutt has been employed with JPD for 12 years.
At the time of the incident, Officer Troutt was off duty and is currently deployed with the Army National Guard. The circumstances surrounding the arrest remain under active investigation.
In accordance with established departmental policy and standard procedure during a pending criminal investigation, the Jackson Police Department has placed Officer Troutt in a non enforcement status due to his current military deployment.
The Jackson Police Department will continue to cooperate fully with the investigating agency. As this is an ongoing investigation, no further details are available at this time.
