Tobias Hodge sentenced to 58 years in TDOC

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE--TWENTY-EIGHTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT:

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — On November 24, 2025, Tobias Hodge was sentenced in the Humboldt Law Court of Gibson County Circuit Court by the Honorable Judge Clayburn Peeples.

On October 9, 2025, after a three-day trial, a jury found Tobias Hodge guilty of the following:

  • Aggravated Rape
  • Especially Aggravated Burglary
  • Attempted Rape
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Theft of Property x2
  • False Imprisonment
  • Interference with Emergency Communications

At the conclusion of the sentencing hearing, Judge Peeples sentenced Hodge, 21 years old, to serve a total of 58 years at 100% in the Tennessee Department of Correction. A breakdown of the sentence for each conviction is as follows:

  • Aggravated Rape- 40 years
  • Especially Aggravated Burglary- 12 years
  • Attempted Rape- 6 years

(To be served concurrently)

  • Aggravated Assault- 6 years
  • Theft of Property X 2- 11 months 29 days
  • False Imprisonment- 11 months 29 days
  • Interference with Emergency Communications- 11 months 29 days
