Local church seeks donations for Angel Tree program

HENDERSON, Tenn. — The Henderson Church of God’s Angel Tree Program has 130 kids they would like to give a Christmas.

These angel trees act like a holiday charity where you can donate funds for gifts or buy gifts like clothes or new toys for children in need.

The two angel trees in Henderson are set up at the Henderson Public Library located at 1012 East Main Street and Chow Wagon located at 229 West Main Street. It is requested that all clothing and toys be new.

“A lot of times this is the only thing new these kids get, so this brightens up their life, and it lets them know that they’re cared for and loved,” said Sheila Taylor, assistant pastor for Henderson Church of God.

If you would like to help, you can call Emily Smith at 731-879-2370 or Sheila Taylor at 731-608-9834.
