Sergeant Rick Finley honored with a candlelight vigil
SELMER, Tenn.—The McNairy Co. Sheriff’s Office teamed up with the Selmer Police Department to honor one of their own.
Beginning just before 5 p.m. Sunday evening, members of law enforcement gathered to celebrate the life, service, and sacrifice of Sergeant Rick Finley.
The community and other members of law enforcement were invited to attend the vigil which took place at the McNairy County Justice Center in Selmer.
The service began with a moving Lake of Blue honoring Sgt. Finley. Followed by remarks from Sheriff Guy Buck, and Chief Holley.
A moment of silence and prayer was also led by Commissioner Kelly.
This service was held to remember and honor Sgt. Finley, along with his family and friends.
Sgt. Finley passed away while in the line of duty in December 2024.
