Tina Mercer sworn in to complete father’s term as County Commissioner

This morning, one of my closest friends, Tina Mercer, was sworn in to finish the remainder of her father’s term on the county commission. I’ve known Tina and her family for a long time, and if there’s one thing that’s always been true about them, it’s that they love people and have a passion for service. Her parents gave so much of their time and hearts to this community, because they genuinely cared.

Watching Tina step into that seat was emotional and meaningful. She understands the weight of it. She knows the shoes she’s filling. And she’s doing it with humility, purpose, and love for this place.

I’m really proud of you, Tina. Your parents’ legacy lives on, and Jackson is better because you’re willing to serve.
