Carnegie Center welcomes residents for Suede & Blue Christmas Party, Opening Reception
JACKSON, Tenn. — One local museum invites residents to wrap up the year surrounded by art, friends, music, and community.

The Carnegie Center for Arts and History held their ‘Suede & Blue’ Christmas party and Opening Reception earlier Thursday.

Guests could enjoy festive cheer, hot chocolate, light refreshments, and a joyful celebration of their ‘Suede & Blue’ exhibition.
This year’s theme was inspired by Rockabilly pioneer Carl Perkins and his famous blue suede shoes.
“So many years ago the Carnegie original had an annual Christmas party, and when I first got here I found a Christmas card that said Christmas at the Carnegie. And we just thought what better way to celebrate the community then to have a Christmas party every year,” said Aaron Hardin, director for the Carnegie Center for Arts and History.
The collection includes pieces like paintings as well as sculptures crafted from different local artists.
