Missing mother and child found safe
DYER COUNTY, Tenn. – A mother and child that were reported missing Wednesday, December 17, have been located and are safe, according to a Facebook post update on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s (TBI) page.
The Dyer County Sheriff’s Office released information asking for the public’s help in locating a mother and her young child late Wednesday night. The sheriff’s office updated the post early Thursday morning that the two individuals have been found safe.
Amy Coleman, 39-years old, and her son Beckham Coleman, 2-years old, were reported to be endangered when they were reported missing due to the mother being suicidal, according to authorities. Law enforcement said due to a belief that she was suicidal then authorities considered her to possibly be a danger to herself and her child.
“Amy Coleman is reported to be severely depressed and is believed to be suicidal, presenting a significant risk to both her and her child’s welfare,” authorities posted.
Coleman was believed to be driving a 2008 Honda Odyssey when the two were reported missing.
