High winds bring down trees, power line
High winds have been causing issues across West TN. Trees were reported down across roads and causing delays.
A very large tree came down where Anderson Cooper meets Old Medina Road in Madison County. The massive tree blocked the roadway and the owner’s driveway as well. JEA and Madison County Sheriff’s Office were on scene while the removal was taking place.
Also, on Highway 18 between Bolivar and Jackson, a large tree was knocked down by the wind delaying traffic. That debris was cleared quickly.
In Carroll County, a power line was reported by Milan Utilities. That pole was located on Highway 70 near Flippen Lane. That pole caused some outages, and crews are working quickly to have it replaced.
As severe weather is a possibility Sunday evening, more trees and power outages are likely.
