School principal arrested after threatening to ‘slit a woman’s throat and watch her die,’ records show
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG/Gray News) — A school principal in Iowa was arrested after he made violent threats toward a woman, according to a criminal complaint.
Information from the Linn County Jail shows that police arrested Justin Blietz, 41, on Saturday. He is the principal of Cedar Rapids Prep, a public charter middle school in Cedar Rapids.

A criminal complaint said Blietz “threatened to slit a woman’s throat and watch her die.”
Blietz is charged with first-degree harassment, threatening a forcible felony.
School officials confirmed in an email that Blietz has been placed on administrative leave.
According to the school’s website, Blietz has 15 years of experience in education, including seven years in leadership roles.
