43rd Archeofest Wraps Up At Pinson Mounds
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — An annual event wraps up its final day here in West Tennessee.
The 43rd annual Archeofest concluded at Pinson Mounds Archeological Park in Pinson today.
There were several presenters and performers during this two-day event.
Attendees had an opportunity to learn about archeology and Native American history and more importantly the history behind the Pinson Mounds burial sites.
“So this celebration really encompasses our culture that was here building the site, but also the indigenous people that are still here today coming and doing and celebrating and singing and connecting with their ancestors,” says Dedra Ekberg, Park Manager.
