Woman arrested after running over 11 ducklings because they made a mess in her yard, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Gray News) – A woman was arrested after she allegedly intentionally ran over 11 ducklings multiple times because they made a mess in her yard, according to police.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said 64-year-old Beverly Sasberry drove over the ducklings in a red Honda Accord. The vehicle turned around “multiple times” to intentionally run the ducklings over, police said.

The video shows the ducklings lying dead in the street, with the mother and two surviving ducklings running as the Honda drives toward them, according to police.

Sasberry told police she killed the ducklings because they made a mess in her yard.

Sasberry is charged with 11 counts of felony animal cruelty.
