Man sentenced in deadly 2014 shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. — Convicted murderer Jakeil Waller is sentenced this week on counts including second-degree murder. On Tuesday, Madison County Circuit Court Judge Don Allen sentenced Waller to 27 years on convictions of second-degree murder and reckless endangerment. In August, Waller was found guilty of fatally shooting Shomari Peterson in July of 2014. This sentence will run consecutive to other sentences for previous, unrelated charges.
