JACKSON, Tenn. — Police are asking for help from the public to find three women in an investigation of recent thefts from two businesses. The persons of interest are described as three black women, and investigators say they have determined through security video that the same suspects were involved in two separate cases. Around 4:20 p.m. Oct. 19, employees at Fashion Today, located at 45 Carriage House Drive, were alerted of three women concealing merchandise, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department. Police say an employee was assaulted while trying to detain the suspects. The women fled the scene in a newer model, black Dodge Charger with a partial tag of TN W6865, according to the release. About 20 minutes later, three women matching the description of the same suspects stole a large amount of merchandise from the Dollar General located at 39 Ridgecrest Road. Police say the women put the merchandise in baskets and walked out without paying. Anyone who can identify the women is asked to call Jackson police at 731-425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477).
