Cardinals manager visits Jackson for Special Needs Athletics

JACKSON, Tenn. – Hundreds of Saint Louis Cardinals fans gathered around on Friday evening to hear manager Mike Matheny speak at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.

The Red Birds skipper was in Jackson on behalf of Special Needs Athletics.

“SNA is something that is near to me; something I’m involved in back in St. Louis,” Matheny said. “Whenever we get an opportunity this time of year to go speak with some of our fans, it’s amazing.

“It’s great to get down here and hear people love what we do. It makes it special of an atmosphere to realize people coming up all the time to St. Louis to watch what we do. Makes it a special place to play.”
