Hair Design School gives cancer survivors free beauty treatments
JACKSON, Tenn. — Cancer survivors got extra special treatment Tuesday.
The Hair Design School in Jackson offered every cancer survivor one free beauty treatment. They could get anything from manicures to pedicures, to a cut or color, all free of charge.
“We are here and we care about the community inside and out,” The Hair Design School Executive Director Kelly Garland said.
It is part of Cancer Survivor Beauty and Support Day, a nationwide event that takes place every year.
“Money was running low anyway, so that was a good opportunity for me to come,” Jackie Stanley, a cancer survivor, said.
Garland said they offer the free services every June. Last year she said they served about 30 people.
