Water main break cuts water pressure to homes in northeast Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Several homes in northeast Madison County lost water pressure, Tuesday night.  Jackson Energy Authority confirms it was due to a water main break along Christmasville Road.  Drivers also reported high waters along Christmasville, making it almost impossible to pass.

As of 10 p.m., JEA spokesman Steve Bowers said crews were unsure of what caused the break but it had been located and crews would work through the night to make the necessary repairs.

JEA says those repairs were finished around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday.

According to Bowers, homes along Wesley Drive, Rugby Drive, Hamlet Cove as well as the 2700 and 2800-blocks of Christmasville Road were affected.  Bowers was unsure of what time the break occurred.
