Madison Co. employee arrested on sex charges involving minors
GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — An employee of the Madison County Public Defender’s Office has been arrested on sex charges involving two minors, according to the Medina Police Department.
Johnny Ray Woolfork, 61, is charged with aggravated sexual battery, sexual battery, and unlawful sexual contact, according to Medina police.
The alleged victims are 10- and 14-year-old females, according to police.
Medina Police Chief Jason Oliver says Woolfork is an employee of the Madison County Public Defender’s Office. Woolfork’s attorney said he serves as an investigator, but could not comment on his current employment status.
The incident is believed to have happened around August 2015 in Medina.
Woolfork is free on a $20,000 bond.
He will appear in Humboldt General Sessions Court. A date has not yet been set for his hearing.
