Residents dispose of unwanted paper and prescription drugs

JACKSON, Tenn. –Saturday afternoon Jackson State Representative, Jimmy Eldridge and the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance joined forces to promote identity theft prevention and consumer protection.

Anything paper that needed to be shredded, these shredding trucks were able to care of it.

Residents were able to leave the fairgrounds with a peace of mind after getting rid of unwanted documents, having them shredded for free.

“We have a great turn out,” State Representative Jimmy Eldridge. “The community is very supportive of it and the beautiful thing is the community is very very thankful for it.”

Local law enforcement was also on hand to collect outdated prescription drugs at this annual event.
