Power outage affects areas near downtown Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Some areas of downtown and midtown Jackson are currently being affected by a power outage, according to reports from residents and Jackson Energy Authority’s outage map.

Tom Mapes, spokesman for the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, said they were out of power as of around noon Monday.
