Weather Update – 10:45 p.m. Thursday

After a break in the rain this evening, there will be a slight chance for scattered showers overnight though not everyone will get rain. Skies will become partly to mostly cloudy limiting our low temperatures to the upper 60s and lower 70s. Dense fog may form early Friday morning so be prepared for travel delays! We’ll be looking at a chance for rain again tomorrow but the forecast for the weekend has a less likely chance for us to encounter the wet weather.

FRIDAY
Compared to yesterday’s forecast, the outlook for Friday looks a bit drier as high pressure may make an earlier arrival than previously expected. Nevertheless, the cold front still in place will continue a 40% chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Some thunderstorms could become strong with damaging winds and flash flooding being the main threats. That is, not to mention frequent lightning like we had today. High temperatures are forecast to reach the middle and upper 80s tomorrow afternoon.

THE WEEKEND
As high pressure builds in across the Great Lakes Region, rain chances will dwindle to “slight” on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will warm up to the upper 80s and lower 90s over the weekend. Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for more updates.

Have a great evening!
