Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. Friday
Scattered storms will continue to be possible tonight though much of the rain should be dissipating after midnight for most of the region. With calm winds, patchy fog could redevelop in the area by sunrise Saturday morning. Temperatures will drop to the upper 60s and lower 70s at the coolest point of the night. Our chance for showers and thunderstorms, unfortunately, spills into our weekend. However, as rain chances diminish during the start of next week, extreme heat and humidity are forecast to return to the region, so enjoy the rain while it lasts!
THE WEEKEND
High temperatures will likely be able to reach the upper 80s and lower to middle 90s over the weekend. Hotter weather has a better chance of developing in areas that don’t get much rain tomorrow. We’ll have a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms Saturday with rain becoming less likely on Sunday.
NEXT WEEK
Monday is one of the hottest days on the 7-day forecast right now with a high of 95°F. The heat index is expected to get over 100°F for a good portion of next week though scattered showers and thunderstorms between Tuesday and Wednesday may help limit heating on those days. Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for the latest updates!
Have a wonderful weekend!
