Woman who pleaded guilty to embezzlement from church, sentenced
UNION CITY, Tenn.-A Union City woman who pleaded guilty to embezzling thousands of dollars from the church where she worked is sentenced today.
Nancy Reed, the former secretary at First Christian Church was sentenced to 8 years of supervised probation.
A lien was also placed on her home until to pays the church back.
An audit showed Reed stole nearly $85,000 over four years, beginning in 2011.
