Jackson convenience store donates $1K to STAR Center

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local convenience store presented a gift Tuesday to the STAR Center.

STAR Center Little General donation editThe Cox Oil Little General, located at 3804 Highway 45 North in Jackson, presented a check for $1,000 to the local nonprofit, according to a STAR Center release.

Several of the store’s team members were present along with district manager Robert McClure.

STAR Center President Dave Bratcher was there to accept the gift.

“On behalf of our Board of Directors and amazing team, I would like to say thank you to Robert McClure and all the folks with Cox Oil,” Bratcher said in the release. “Without the support of the local community, we would be unable to carry out our mission to help any person with any disability realize their potential.”

The STAR Center has been providing life-changing services to those with disabilities since 1988, according to the release. Serving over 1,300 individuals annually, STAR works to help any person with any disability to realize their potential.
