Dyersburg police seek man in grocery store break-in

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — Police are looking for a man they say broke into a grocery store Wednesday.

Dyersburg break-inThe incident happened at Gatlin’s Grocery, located at 1600 East Court Street, where a man used a brick to break through the front window, according to the Dyersburg Police Department.

Police say the man can be seen in store surveillance video. He is described as a black man with a slim build and standing about five feet 10 inches tall.

He was wearing a black backpack with “Census 2010” embroidered on it along with a black ski mask, black jeans, black Nike shoes and a long-sleeved black, red and white plaid shirt, according to police.

The man reportedly took several food items from the store. Police say he cut himself on the glass on the way out.
