JEA: Widespread power outage leaves thousands in the dark
JACKSON, Tenn.-A widespread power outage, leaves thousands across Jackson in the dark and without air conditioning tonight.
JEA said a main TVA feed line went out around 8 p.m., causing more than 4,300 people to lose power.
According to JEA’s website, the outage stretched north and south from Airways Boulevard to almost Passmore Lane, and east to west from Lower Brownsville Road to Campbell Street.
As of 9 p.m., JEA spokesman Steve Bowers, said some power had been restored. He said the problem originated with the substation at Carriage House.
As of 10 p.m., JEA reported all power had been restored.
