Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. Friday

A few scattered showers will continue overnight with drier conditions after midnight. Patchy fog will be possible with temperatures dropping to the lower and middle 70s again by sunrise. We’ll be looking at another chance for scattered storms on Saturday and Sunday but it’ll still be hot to start the weekend with a Heat Advisory for the area until 8pm Saturday night.

THIS WEEKEND
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible with the best chance for rain taking place from morning until early evening. High temperatures will reach the lower to middle 90s both days but it will still feel very uncomfortable with the humidity in place. Some thunderstorms that develop could be strong with gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning the main things to watch out for.

NEXT WEEK
More scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible next week. Between Saturday and Tuesday afternoon West Tennessee could get as much as 1″-2″ of rainfall, but actual amounts will vary greater than that range across the region. This is good news for the area since most of West Tennessee is still abnormally dry since the last drought monitor was posted. Have a wonderful weekend!
