Police seek to ID man who stole Le Bonheur donation bin from Wal-Mart
JACKSON, Tenn. — Police are hoping the public can help them find a man they say stole a donation container for Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital from Wal-Mart in south Jackson.
Police say the man is seen in surveillance footage loading the large donation container into a shopping cart just after 11 p.m. Thursday at the Wal-Mart on South Highland Avenue, according to a report from the Jackson Police Department.
The man is seen cutting a tether that secured the container with some type of cutting tool, according to the report.
Police describe the man as white with a medium to heavy build and wearing a bluish-green shirt, long pants and a hat.
Officers say the man was last seen running toward the wooded area behind Wal-Mart and Lowe’s.
