Shaw wins primary for District 80 House seat

JACKSON, Tenn. — Incumbent Johnny Shaw won the Democratic primary for the District 80 House of Representatives seat, according to final but unofficial results.

Shaw carried the race with 2,843 total votes from both Hardeman County and Madison County voters.

Ernest Brooks II

His opponent, Ernest Brooks II, received a total of 1,126 votes.

This was a “winner-take-all” primary with no Republican challenger on the ticket for the November election.
