TDOT to Halt Road Construction for the Holidays

JACKSON, Tenn.- The state Department of Transportation is halting road construction over the long-holiday weekend. TDOT leaders said they will suspend construction-related lane closures on Interstates and state routes, beginning at 6 a.m., Wednesday until 6 a.m., the following Monday. AAA estimates over 723,000 Tennesseans will hit the roadways. July 3 and July 7 are expected to be the busiest travel days of the holiday period.
