Woman dies in Cheatham County home fire
ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (AP) – A house fire that broke out around dawn has killed a person in Cheatham County.
Ashland City Assistant Fire Chief Brian Biggs told WTVF-TV (http://bit.ly/14MiX9T ) that a man awakened Tuesday morning to find the home on fire. He escaped with burns on his shoulders. Biggs said the man was unable to rescue his wife, whose body was found by firefighters.
The home was near the Cheatham-Davidson County line. The cause is being investigated.
