Shooting leaves 1 dead, others injured in Jackson

UPDATE (1/29/24): New information available after woman killed, minors injured in shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. – A shooting that took place Thursday led to one death.

On the 100 block of Cloverdale Street, the Jackson Police Department responded to a shooting that took place on Thursday night around 9:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, a deceased victim was found in a vehicle by officers. 

Officers also discovered two juvenile victims at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The two juvenile victims were airlifted to a hospital in Memphis and are currently in stable condition.

A short time later, the shooting suspect was found by officers in the 100 block of Cloverdale Street.

The shooting suspect was treated by emergency medical personnel and is now in custody.

According to the Jackson Police Department, this appears to be a targeted incident. 

The investigation is still ongoing.
