Jackson-Madison County Library announces February 2024 children and teen programs
JACKSON, Tenn.—Jackson-Madison County Library offers fun programs for all ages.
The JMC Library will offer programs for children and teens to enjoy this month. Check out all the library has to offer.
This month’s activities for children will include:
StoryTimes at the Main Library
Every Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in February. Join in for stories, songs, fun, and time spent with friends.
This month’s special reading times include:
National Jack Day – February 5, 6, 8
We will have stories featuring the character “Jack.” The stories will include Jack & Jill, Jack & and the Beanstalk, Jack Be Nimble, and more. Come join the fun of hearing some of the best stories with a character named Jack.
Library Lovers’ Day – February 12,13,15
We will celebrate all the things to love about the library! Participants will also have the opportunity to make valentines cards.
Language Day- February 20, 22
Come share in learning different languages. Join in as we read bilingual stories and learn some new words.
International Polar Bear Day – February 26, 27, 29
Come learn about the bears of the Arctic. Join us as we read stories about polar bears and make a craft.
Saturday “Dolly” Story Time – – February 17 at 10:30 am
Come learn about the Imagination Library and Dolly Parton. We will have a special story and craft. Then, join in the fun afterwards at a special celebration by the Madison Co. Imagination Library at Turntable Coffee to benefit the local Imagination Library program..
Marvel “Be a Hero” Day -**special time for all ages of Teen Marvel Club** Saturday, February 10 at 2:00 pm
Wear your favorite Marvel costume or bring an action figure. Join other fans to watch “Into the Spider-verse (rated PG-13)
Pokemon Meet – Up – Saturday, February 17 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm
Bring your Pokemon cards for an hour of trading, spending time with other fans and maybe even make some new friends.*Meet in the Children’s Department this month*
Family Book Club – On Wednesdays 10:30 am. February 7, 14, 21, 28
Homeschool families read the book together at home and then meet at the library to play, have fun and make a craft. For more info: contact Jennifer in the Children’s Dept. to sign up, borrow the book and join us!
Game Nights – Every first and third Thursday at 5:00 pm on February 1 & 15
Come join the fun as we play all kinds of board games. Some you may not have heard of before.

Teen Advisory Board – Wednesday, February 7 at 3 pm
Consider joining TAB! A great chance to meet other teens, as well as help to plan events, choose books and materials for the Teen Room, and so much more.

K-POP Club – Every fourth Saturday at 3:00 pm. February 24th
Join us as we listen to some K-POP artists. Share your love of K-POP with other fans. We will play games, eat snacks, and make crafts.

BookTok Book Talks – February 26 at 6:00 pm at Starbucks, 2034 N. Highland Avenue
