Saltillo Fire Department hosts ‘Cajun Bowl’ for community
SALTILLO, Tenn. — There’s never a wrong time for hot, fresh food.
The Saltillo Fire Department hosted their Cajun Bowl on Sunday.
Members of the community were able to enjoy their meal at the fire department.
Food included raw oysters and shrimp.
Burgers and hot dogs were provided for those who don’t enjoy seafood.
This allowed the fire department to show the community how dedicated they are to providing a safe space for them.
All proceeds will go to new equipment for the department, as well as a water rescue program that they have in the works.
“We are expected to help maintain as far as coverage for fire and rescue incidents, and we wish to have a bigger presence in that,” said Dustin Bruce, Saltillo Fire Department Chief.
The fire department wants you to know that they will continue to have events.
The next event is a car show at the ballpark on April 20 at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Vendors are needed.
