Multiple injuries reported in evening wreck on Hwy 412 in Friendship
JACKSON, Tenn. — According to a statement on the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page, a wreck occurred on Highway 412 at the intersection in front of Dollar General in Friendship Wednesday night.
Our crew arrived on the scene at 9:50 p.m., and multiple agencies responded to the scene.
The statement says minutes before the crash, another motorist called 911 to report a driver weaving and failing to maintain control of the vehicle.
Before officers could make contact, the erratic driver crashed into another vehicle.
Due to the collision, one vehicle was smoking and the other was leaking gasoline onto the road.
Both drivers were transported to local hospitals.
No other people were involved in the crash.
The Sheriff’s Department says THP is leading the investigation into this crash.
