UPDATE: Wanted suspect now in custody
UPDATE:
LEBANON, Tenn.—A wanted suspect out of Lebanon is now in custody.
According to the Lebanon Police Department, wanted suspect Steve Yarbrough has been taken into custody.
The following statement was issued by Public Information Officer, Zach Patton,
“Steve Yarbrough has been arrested. Moments ago, homicide suspect Steven Yarbrough peacefully turned himself into officers at the Lebanon Police Department. We are grateful for our detectives and officers, who worked steadfastly to bring justice to the victim. We will continue to keep the victim’s family and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.”
The department says that Yarbrough’s vehicle was located in Hickman County. And the incident remains an active investigation.

Wanted suspect could be in West TN
LEBANON, Tenn.—A suspect wanted for Criminal Homicide could be in West TN.
According to the Lebanon Police Department, an incident occurred early this morning prompting authorities to issue a notice for West TN area residents.
The following statement was issued by Zach Patton, Public Information Officer of Lebanon Police Department.
“Around 12:26 a.m., officers responded to 502 Fairview Avenue, The Ridge Apartments, in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found a female who had been shot multiple times. The female was quickly transported to Vanderbilt-Wilson, where she succumbed to her injuries. The investigation has revealed that Steve Yarbrough shot the victim, his wife, multiple times and fled the scene. 42-year-old Yarbrough, of Lebanon, is now wanted for Criminal Homicide. Below is a picture of Steve Yarbrough and the 1998 green Dodge pickup truck he is driving (TAG #BRR2561, with the red lawn mower in the bed). Yarbrough has previously resided in Jackson, Tennessee, and could be traveling to the West Tennessee area. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Steve Yarbrough, please call 911 immediately. He is considered armed and dangerous. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family and loved ones.”
