Gas Prices Slightly Down in Southeast

JACKSON, Tenn.- Good news if you are trying to get in a quick road trip before school starts. Gas prices throughout the southeast are down, slightly, according to AAA. Experts warn the trend could end soon, so you may want to fill up now. Oil and gas prices are expected to remain volatile in the weeks to come, especially as peak hurricane season approaches. The national average is $3.63 for a gallon of regular unleaded. In Tennessee it’s 21-cents less, at $3.42 .
