JPD: One Person Dead after Monday Night Shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson Police say one person is dead after a shooting late Monday night. Jackson Police responded to a shots fired call near the 200 block of Tinker Hill Cove just after 10:00 p.m., Monday. Once they arrived, officers found Darvin Manning, 19, lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Manning was transported by ambulance to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital and pronounced dead shortly afterward. His body has been transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Nashville for autopsy. Police said their preliminary investigation revealed that Manning had just arrived at his apartment on Tinker Hill Cove. He was shot on the parking lot of the apartment building near his car.
