SARDIS, Tenn. — A tragic discovery in southern Henderson County has investigators working to uncover the details as to what happened.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a 16-year-old boy found deceased Friday morning at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Sardis, Tennessee. The sheriff’s office is reserving comment at this time.

It’s an unfortunate tragedy that has left some unsettled and wondering what caused this to occur.

Sources also say that a 13-year-old girl found the body and her mother dispatched it to the police.

It’s unclear at this time how the child ended up in the cemetery.

As of now, the body has not been identified nor the cause of death. We’ll share more details about this incident as they become available.
