Sheriff provides follow up on 16-year-old found dead in Sardis

SARDIS, Tenn. — We have an update on the teenager found dead in a cemetery last Friday morning.

According to Sheriff Brian Duke, the body of a sixteen-year-old was found near the edge of the roadway by the Spring Hill Cemetery in Henderson County.

Sheriff Duke says it was more of a personal situation and there is no crime suspected, adding that there’s no threat or danger to society.

This is a family matter and the name of the individual will not be released.

Sheriff Duke also says there will be an autopsy done for further assessment.
