New club president and ‘Rotarian of the Year’ selected in JRC meeting
JACKSON, Tenn. — Wednesday’s Jackson Rotary Club meeting recognized Carolyn Vaughan as their ‘Rotarian of the Year.’
Vaughan says it’s an honor and a privilege to be a Rotarian.
She believes in the rotary motto “Service above self” and looks forward to engaging in service projects this coming year.
Vaughan has been in rotary for seven years and works as a Producer at Thompson and Smith Insurance.
Carolyn Vaughan was also inducted as the new president of the club.
“Service has always been a part of what my family’s been about in the community. It’s something I look forward to upholding this next year as president of rotary,” said Vaughan, President of the Jackson Rotary Club.
Vaughan shares that her number one priority as president is engaging in community service.
Her second priority is building an awareness of the club culture to encourage others to be interested in rotary.
She thanks former rotary president, Melinda Reid, for her service.
