Jackson Sings Gospel comes to a close

JACKSON, Tenn.—Southern gospel hits the Carl Perkins stage here in the Hub city.

Jackson Sings the Gospel is a mix of over twenty-five different music artists that come together for a night of fellowship.

“It’s been going on for several years now. We just started Wednesday evening. We’re finishing up a wonderful four days here in Jackson, TN. We’ve had people from several different states. I think about a dozen different states. So, we’ve had people come from everywhere and it’s been a great great week,” said Josh Franks, Co. Promoter.

With the full line up from Wednesday till this weekend, Franks tells us two popular groups that have made quite the staple in the southern gospel industry.

“The Kingsman Quartet, they’re in the gospel music hall of fame. Also the Inspirations from Bryson City, North Carolina. They’re one of the hottest groups right now in gospel music. They’re actually nominated and were awarded as the new artist of the year a couple of years ago and now these young men have become gospel music’s favorite as the artist of the year,” Franks said.

The event serves as a way for the community to come together for a night of worship.

“We want people to leave here encouraged. We want them uplifted. We want them going home knowing they’ve had a great time. Forgetting about all the thing that are going on around them right now and just having some peace and some quiet and some moments with our Lord. I hope they’ve been able to take that home with them,” Franks said.

Franks wishes for everyone a refreshing experience.
