Mid-South Youth Camp presents 41st Annual Fish Fry

HENDERSON, Tenn.—One organization joined together in a fish fry this evening.

Mid-South Youth Camp held their 41st Annual Fish Fry in Henderson today.

This fish fry comes as they celebrate a summer of over 1,600 young people that visited the camp.

The food is prepared by the Spiers family, a local church brings volunteers, and Mid-South Youth Camp board brings pies and drinks.

The camp’s purpose is to create an environment where children feel welcomed and can deepen their faith.

The camp is sponsored by Freed-Hardeman University and has been there since 1957.

“This is our 41st year of the Mid-South Youth Camp Annual Fish Fry. There is a drive in, dine in, but its people of all ages gathering to not just eat good food, but support a great cause. This is our camp that has been here since 1957, sponsored through Freed-Hardeman University. This is a really special place,” said Brad Montague, Director, Mid-South Youth Camp.

Tonight the camp also celebrated former Freed-Hardeman President, Dr. Milton Sewell, as he retires.
