1 injured following shooting in west Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police confirm a shooting has left one injured in west Jackson.

Our crews were on the scene of a heavy police presence shortly before 10 Thursday night off of Cinnamon Drive and Skyhaven Drive.

We spoke to a Jackson Police officer who confirmed the response was in reference to a shots fired call picked up by the Shotspotter alert system.

Police say one male victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound, and he has since been transported to a hospital to be treated for injuries.

 

Caution tape could be seen around a home, with multiple law enforcement officers patrolling the area on foot.
