Local resident shares frustrations following issues with delivery service
JACKSON, Tenn. — After moving to West Tennessee, one resident opens up about problems with a delivery system.
Since moving to her new home, Rayna Malone says she has had problems with FedEx delivery system failing to deliver her packages.
“We had absolutely nothing with us that we brought when we moved here. We needed essentials: blankets, pillows, sheets, beds, mattresses–your basic stuff,” said Malone.
Malone ordered packages from Walmart, Amazon, and Wayfair and each delivery was a hassle.
Once the package was out for delivery it never made it to her home.
“It’s out for delivery. I’m checking it throughout the day to see what’s going on. 3,4, 7 o’clock it’s going by, all of a sudden I check again and it says ‘attempted delivery.’ nobody was there to sign. These are packages nobody was there to sign, these are packages you don’t need anyone to sign,” said Malone.
One situation in particular was when she ordered food through a 3rd party that vacuum seals food.
The delivery was not made due to it being labeled spoiled.
“One package of food I never got. It was my weeks worth of groceries and it was a hundred and nine dollars and of course I got my money back from the company 5 to 10 days later, now I don’t have food, I’m out another hundred dollars trying to replace that,” said Malone.
She found that situation unusual because she often ordered food from this business and it wasn’t spoiled.
Malone has called the 800 service phone number for assistance several times.
In doing this she would receive the packages days later however she believes that’s excessive.
“He said none of our branches you can call directly you have to call through us and we have to put you through. He tried putting me through, nobody at that location picked up the phone,” said Malone.
Malone has noticed that others are allegedly having problems with this FedEx.
They are reporting that their medication is arriving late and the medicine being unable to be used.
“I want to see accountability. I want to see that. Yes, I care a lot about mine but as I’m reading people are not getting necessary medical equipment–medicines, things that can’t easily be replaced,” said Malone.
She also shares that food delivery and other delivery services are not having problems with finding her home it’s only this particular FedEx.
“Every package that gets delivered specifically to this house every single one of them is processed through Humboldt. Every single issue I’m having is coming from Humboldt. That is the last place that the packages go before they’re actually on the local delivery trucks,” said Malone.
Malone also shares that one recent package was delivered however was placed on the edge of her pool.
Malone says she won’t have items delivered through FedEx until this issue is fixed.
