Union University holds dedication ceremony for new wellness center
JACKSON, Tenn. — Union University held a dedication ceremony Monday for their new wellness center.
Located in the old library space in the Penick Academic Complex, the new center is more than four times larger than the former wellness center.
The center will house both students and student athletes and was designed to be a welcoming space for people with all variations of knowledge in regards to fitness.
“This new facility has plenty of spacious walkways, has a variety of equipment that create lots of avenues for our students to engage with fitness in a different way so we have group fitness classes, cardio, pin select, plate loaded equipment, all the way back to a turf strip and even some areas for Olympic rings to do some calisthenics,” said Ivy-Marie Adkisson.
The wellness center opens tomorrow at 6 a.m.
