Motorcycle driver killed in head-on collision, THP confirms

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A motorcycle driver was killed in a head-on collision last Friday night.

According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle wreck occurred during the evening of August 30 near the 500 block of US Highway 412 East in Madison County.

The report shows that a Ford 500 was traveling west, while a Harley Davidson Electra Glide was traveling east, and the two collided head-on in the east bound lane.

The report confirms that the driver of the Harley Davidson, identified as 33-year-old Kyle Maroney, was killed in the crash.

The THP report does not confirm whether the driver of the Ford 500 was injured, or if any charges are pending.

An investigation into the wreck remains underway.
